I would love this app if it weren't for the inaccurate (and very annoying) unread message notification. The app icon constantly displays a '1', indicating I have 1 unread message, even though I do not have any unread messages.

Even when I have multiple unread messages it still only shows '1'. The '1' will not go away no matter what I do. Other than that minor, yet very frustrating, issue. I have no complaints. The app works great and I love that it's customizable and includes contact pics. However, it regularly fails to sync, either not showing new messages, sent messages, or showing messages out of order. It also persistently shows 1 unread message even though there are no unread messages. Whenever a link is clicked in a message, it opens two new tabs instead of one.

This is a terrible execution of an extremely necessary product. Submitted on 9/6/2018 Review title of BradyContacts Names Will NOT Sync and Cannot be Added This app does NOT sync your contact names, just the phone numbers and messages. Some of my contact names showed up randomly, but not many. The App does NOT let me add a contact name to the phone number despite the feature being present. Not sure why they won't repair it because it has been this way for a very long time. I've been using the App for several years on my Windows 7 Pro laptop and recently got a laptop with Windows 10.

The problem existed on Windows 7 Pro and is worse on Windows 10. I suppose Verizon figures if messages are syncing, the problem doesn't really demand that much effort or attention. However, not having the Contact Name sync with the number is a REAL problem. It's 2018 and we DO NOT REMEMBER PHONE NUMBERS ANYMORE!! We barely remember someone's name! Gone are the days of being able to rattle off someone's phone number. PLEASE Fix this issue, you're Verizon and should be able to solve this easily!

Submitted on 9/5/2018 Review title of AndrewConstantly Freezing Unfortunately this is one of the few messaging platforms for android that allows you to have a desktop app, however there are multiple times during using it that I have to restart the app due to freezing. It also is incredibly slow at syncing everything so more often than not I just use my phone because it is more convenient than waiting for the app to work correctly. Whenever it works right it is a great tool but the reliability is terrible.

Hi Larry - Make sure that Data and Picture & Video Messaging is enabled on your online account, as well as on your device. Go to your Dashboard - Device Settings - Your Phone - Scroll down to Megabytes: ensure that Can Access the Internet and Can Send & Receive Picture and Video Messages both are checked. Older messages that could not download may still have some trouble downloading ( they may have expired on the network), new messages should come through with no further issues.

Money for nuthin' and my PICS for free. Wendy, is this true, that the phone will still access the data network, even if I have 'Can access the Internet, Allow other devices to tether to this device,' and ' Can send and receive picture & video messages' all unchecked? I genuinely like having the ability to access data, but unless I am traveling, I see it as superfluous. When traveling, it is sweet, but otherwise I don't want my phone shaking hands with strangers all over the place;-). I think my having those unchecked is why I could not download pics - but GO SMS fixed that. Now, with GO SMS I can't see any advantage to having a data connection if I am in WIFI range - am I missing something?
